The journey I am about to embark on is one of exploring our interconnectedness - a process of tuning into the ways our lives reverberate and how we impact one another.
It is a spiritual pilgrimage through the heart of our country. At a time when our daily news cycle and political climate bombard us with messages and experiences of separation, violence, oppression and greed.
On this path I will get more grounded in my own history and connect with people I know and don't yet know. I will be journeying with my young children and the time with them is a gift all of its own.
My dad will also drive West with us. Papa was a truck driver and since my parents split when I was young, we spent weekends together, which always began and ended with a drive.
A Drive. Movement. Sensing. Listening. Openness. Connection.
I am filled with excitement and curiosity as I anticipate what lies ahead.
